Monthly Giving – The Full Plate Club
Making a recurring monthly donation helps all year long! Plus, any gifts of $25 or more a month will automatically include a community of monthly supporters, The Full Plate Club. You will be invited to special events and receive communications about how your support impacts our mission.
IRAs
You can donate money directly from your IRA. If you are over 70½, you can donate up to $105,000 annually from a traditional IRA tax-free! And the donation counts toward your required minimum distribution, while giving hope to your neighbors in need.
STOCK
Donating stock that has appreciated for more than a year actually increases your gift by as much as 20% more than if you sold the stock and donated the proceeds! The reason is simple: capital gains taxes. If you donate the stock directly to Harvest of Hope Pantry, there is no capital gains tax to pay. And you are still eligible to deduct the full fair-market value on your income taxes! For more information about how to donate stock, please contact our Development Director, Kelsey Harvey, Kelsey.Harvey@hopepantry.org.
DONOR ADVISED FUNDS
A donor advised fund is a personal charitable investment account that you can establish at a community foundation or financial institution. The fund allows you to receive an immediate income tax deduction for your charitable contribution. And then, as your fund benefits from tax-free growth, you recommend grants from the fund to qualified nonprofits, like Harvest of Hope Pantry.
Please consult with your financial planner or tax advisor to determine the best options for you.
Your donation goes much further thanks to our wholesale buying power and the multiplying effect of donated food!
Food Donations
Your food donations, large or small, really do make a difference!
We cannot accept food that has already been opened, bulk items that need repackaging, or anything made outside of a commercial kitchen.
Shopping List
We regularly update our Shopping List based on our current needs.
What We Accept:
Fresh Food
We love fresh produce! If you have a garden that is over-abundant, please send it our way. Even the smallest amount is wonderful and brightens someone’s day and meal.
Are you going on vacation and can’t use your CSA? Send it our way. We’ll find a good home for all of those fruits and veggies.
Shelf Stable and Non-Perishable Foods
Bring in your non-perishable canned, jarred, boxed and bagged products.
*Donated food items must be labeled, unopened, and unused. Canned food items need to be no more than one year past their best-by date.
