Coronavirus Update

At Harvest of Hope Pantry, we take our role serving our clients very seriously.

As of today, in-pantry shopping has been suspended. However, we are providing our clients with pre-assembled food packages for as long as we are able.

Staff or volunteers will check-in clients outside the doors of the pantry and deliver groceries there. We are continuing to develop contingency plans, and promise to keep you updated as we move forward.

As you can imagine, the situation is changing frequently. For the latest information, visit our Coronavirus page.

During any emergency situation, we will strive to feed as many people as we can and for as long as possible, while keeping our clients, volunteers and staff safe. Please know that we are monitoring news and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding COVID-19, and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) regarding its spread in our region.

We remain calm and focused on our current responsibilities to clients and others, while taking prudent steps to prepare for possibilities. Harvest of Hope Pantry is a critical safety net for the community, and many that we serve are more vulnerable to the spread of disease.

We ask everyone to stay healthy and minimize the spread of illness by following the guidance of the CDC:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects
  • Stay home if you feel you are sick
  • Put distance between yourself and other people

How You Can Help

This pandemic will present many challenges for our organization. It is possible that sourcing food through our normal channels will become more difficult with the spread of the virus. There will also be a decline in volunteer support as the disease spreads.

So we need your help now more than ever. Your financial donation to Harvest of Hope Pantry will help us prepare for the inevitable changes resulting from COVID-19 outbreak. Thank you so much for your help and support!

Doubling Donations Up to $15,000

Due to public safety concerns, we are taking our Lenten Hope Can Drive online. Thankfully, an anonymous donor has pledged to match all online and check donations during the campaign up to a total of $15,000.

This is an unbelievable opportunity to help your neighbors in need right now!

Virtual Can Drive

I just got back from the pantry, and I want to express my great gratitude to our staff — Derek, Ben, Shannon and Andrea — and all of our volunteers. The first day of our new parking lot shopping process went remarkably well. Props to Riley for bringing this team together and preparing them to succeed during her maternity leave. It is such a blessing to have these caring folks at the helm, with their incredible love for the individuals and families we serve. We know you're praying for us, and the world in general, and I want to sincerely thank you for your support!

With Peace and Gratitude,
Rick Chadwick
Board Chair

PS: If you'd prefer to take advantage of this extremely generous matching opportunity by check, mail your check made out to Harvest of Hope Pantry to Harvest of Hope Pantry, 2960 Valmont Road, Boulder, CO 80301, and please write "Double My Donation" in the memo!
