Executive Director Report

Thanks to our supporters and volunteers, 2018 was a successful year!

In May of 2018, I took over as Executive Director of Harvest of Hope, the only food pantry in Boulder serving everyone who comes through its door.

I have always had a passion for food justice and health equity, and consider myself extremely lucky to work with such an incredible team of staff and volunteers to serve those in need in my hometown.

The pantry turned seven years old in June, and we have taken many steps this year to formalize our policies to better serve our clients, volunteers and employees. While we may be 'young' in comparison to other local non-profits, the Pantry has a wonderful reputation of being a safe welcoming space for anyone and everyone in this community to access food; and that has been and will be our focus for the future.

We experienced some challenges due to transitions both internally and externally, but we were able to stay steady in our mission, and have continued to support some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

We're extremely thankful to all who contributed financially, and had food drives to benefit our pantry in 2018. These contributions are our life blood which enables us to bring some stability to those who are truly looking for it.  I also want to thank our volunteers who gladly show up week after week, month after month, year after year. Your efforts bring hope to those in need, and I have loved being a part of this community with all of you.

I hope you enjoy this annual report, and if you ever have any questions or need something explained, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you for everything you do,
